You’ve guessed it. I fell once again today, on the same spot on my knee. But I’ve made a discovery: Skorpion Quadlines have better roll than Skorpion Multi-terrains – better roll = higher speed = more fun = more painful fall :P

I fell… again, while skating at the BMX slopes opposite my house.

I gave my new Skorpion MTs a test ride as soon as it arrived just now. The MT wheels feel stiffer and sounded more ‘plastic’ than the PU wheels (noisier), but as far as stability is concerned, the MT wins hands-down due to its wider wheel-base. It’s less likely to fall on the MT compared to the Quadlines, but what I think tricks are easier to perform on the Quadlines thanks to less traction on the ground.

Gonna give it a proper run at the park in Taman Tun.

I’ve chosen to trust UPS once again, but it seems like their promised ‘delivery within 3 days’ is all !@#$ crap on both cases of my shipments (refer to my earlier post for my earlier delayed UPS shipment) – I’ve paid A LOT of shipment charges for both of them, where I can get a normal express airmail for a quarter of the price and still arrive at the same speed. Coincidence?

Today marks the first day I skated to college. It takes around 10 minutes to travel 1.5 km from the gate of my home to the gate of KBU by casual-skating. I can go faster by speed-skating (e.g. by not breaking when going downhill, not slowing down when going over bumps, and by striding harder) and/or by taking the shortest route (1.3 km, by current speed will take 8.6 minutes) – both methods require higher level of control which I currently have yet to achieve, or you’ll end up seeing my face on the newspaper the next day.

The main slowdown is probably the really rough tar road, unlike newly paved roads (e.g. BU 6/6 and the portion of Persiaran Utama in front of SMK BU3) – these are really bumpy for my 82a PU wheels, might need multi-terrain wheels to travel faster – it’s darn easy to tip-off with my current set of wheels because of the unevenly distributed smoothness, one feet can get stuck suddenly when you expect it to roll. I think these 82a wheels are much more suitable on smooth pavement, which the speed will be superior than multi-terrain wheels.

The problem is: multi-terrain wheels are currently out of stock, and scheduled to be restock on May. So, for the time being I guess I have to skate slower.

The eggs and ice-cream are mysteriously reappearing. But the canned drinks were long gone. (and the air conditioner and fans are still turned on).

My TV’s almost turned on 24-hours. My instant noodles, eggs, soft drinks, and ice cream are mysteriously disappearing at a staggering rate. The fan’s on and nobody’s there. My room is getting trespassed randomly. My electricity bill is going to be jaw-dropping (someone’s air conditioner is always turned on).

At last but not the least – my surge protector is fried by lightning (well, this is somewhat unrelated, oh well).

Thank god my server is not involved in this mess. Amen.
