Zone Lance にようこそ。The (weird) world from the eyes of a(n award-winning *gasps*) software programmer, amateur musician and electronics engineer wannabe. Posts are categorized to suit different audiences. :) November 26 新しい世界、新しい考えI’ve grown today.
I’m sorry. If the game is to be played this way, I have no choice but to win the game. En garde. November 22 バランス ― なしSometimes I have a urge to buy myself a Playstation 3. But when I think twice about it, all my other game consoles are lying in the corner gathering dust – I’ve never had the chance to fully utilize them. PS3 would just be yet another dust-magnet paperweight. I’ve lost my balance in studies, work, exploration and play. I want to keep-up with my studies. I want to excel in work. I want to see, hear, experience new things. I want to play the latest games. But I just can’t keep up. November 21 Vanguard 3.7
Fresh off the ‘oven’ – a minor update to Elecom Shield (Vanguard): a fundamental internal speed-hacking / speed-macro rejection system and proper handshake with AhnLab Online Security (AOS). This new feature silently drops ‘inhuman’ network traffic generated by any non-human source (hardware/software) :)

LGS alpha rev. 2 (aka soon-to-be-optimized Genesis) is completed, featuring the new soon-to-be-fast 16.16 Fixed Point Math Mode-7 rendering system (30+ FPS on Nokia N82, 10 FPS on WTK emulator, Infinity FPS on KEmulator). … All after experimenting of many methods – matrix transformation, pure trigonometry, trigonometry vertical scaling + linear horizontal transformation, linear vertical scaling + linear horizontal transformation etc. Ended up using trigonometry vertical scaling + trigonometry horizontal displacement + linear horizontal scaling + matrix transformation. Next: scale-factor caching to boost the speed, without overloading the memory consumption – tricky. Current Features of Genesis R2:

Woke up at 5:30AM, warm up, reached 4th Dan in Taiko no Tatsujin DS (太鼓の達人DS-七つの島の大冒険), shower and lift off to fetch Aunty Jenny and Aunty Eve. Ended up not spotting their house number, how uncool. Reached KBU at 6:00AM MST (Malaysian Standard Time), but the Aunties forgot to bring their coupons, so backtracked and arrived at 6:15AM MST. Nothing much to do besides stoning. Michelle asked to decorate the information counter with ‘sticks and flowers’, I was dumbfounded. Equipped with a pocket knife I infiltrated KBU grounds and steal… … flowers (採花贼 style). Flowers-only design seemed plain, so figured I’d do something with the palm leaves lying on the floor – that was when Kim Mei noticed I was struggling with flowers and leaves. (To my surprise,) she helped without me asking – an art student filling the job, perfecto. Arrange flowers professional, cut leaves also professional – cut many times also won’t split <insert sarcastic smile here>. As for the PA system, if they have a proper adapter (+ my previously-made eTunes software), they don’t even need to clumsily switch the microphone pre-amplifier on and off, while at the same time toggling the main amplifier, due to the lack of a proper mixer (I have no idea why they set up an equalizer). *whew, what a mouthful* eTunes should be able to automatically fade off the music once the microphone is activated, and fade back on once it’s unused. The rest of the day is pretty normal. Except that the people usually ignore the Information Counter, the Vono/Ajinomoto people stole our chairs, and the Vono girls seems to be afraid of me – once they approached my counter (Information Counter) with 10 bucks on their hands:
And they didn’t even give me a chance to try their sample soup. Evil. Got to know new and interesting people – boothmates Aina (I think) and Alice. No, it was me who started fooling around with balloons due to boredom – it caused the adults to be fond of the balloons, and we were originally instructed to reserve them to kids. This situation, plus the kids coming multiple times to take balloon, plus my klutz-ness of giving ~7 balloons to the… …ceiling, plus 1 mysteriously poked balloon – there were technically not enough balloons for all kids. RTM was here when I was playing with the balloons. I think I’m caught on tape. Do tell me if you see me on TV. Played a game of Life Sized Snake and Ladder (because nobody was there) with Aina (I think), Alice, Wee Vien and I-forgot-who (need photos to recall). So, as a gentleman *cough*, I gave them a head start. Somehow Lady Luck was with me, got myself a few extra turns and took 3 ladders, effectively leading them by a large margin (buahaha, I’m a bully). Later, Wee Vien seemed to catch up quite a bit… BUT… Lady Luck was still with me – performed a perfect end (by throwing a 7, aka 7th Heaven, Lucky Seven, without reversing) and won the game in a darn short time. Got myself a Vono cup, a Vono spoon and a Vono mobile phone strap. Nah, not the girls who presented me with the prize, they kinda ran away. :( Michelle suddenly asked me to do car wash. Now I know how the *doze off before finishing the post* *continues the next morning* Alice actually volunteered to help us wash car, tough gal. Once we finished a car, a new car comes in. In the end the whole carwash team + backup team completely worn out, and we decided to Back to the booth was nothing much but a few now-smooth legs and now-shiny-bald heads (wax and shave for cause respectively). The event ended well. While cleaning up, Jason gave the commands really loud (showing his power, psh…) and I suddenly became one of his underlings (!@#$). Nevermind, I have it his way for today. During the final debriefing, Mr. Eng gave a speech. Well, it would seemed like he’s leaving – today is ‘technically’ his last day working at KBU. Then Michelle gave a speech too. I’m darn surprised for her to give me, the slacker, proper credit in front of the whole team. Got myself a pat on the back by Mr. Eng too. Darn, this made me cancelled by idea of not signing up in the future. We (including me, the impostor SC member, buahahaha) took a couple of group photo. Nabbed some kebabs and drinks after that and rushed back home. --- Woosh, my stuff is delivered today. I didn’t know Pos Laju works during Saturdays. After finish assembling, got a call from Jason talking about William’s birthday dinner at 1U on 7:30PM. No time to shower. Washed my face and changed into (cooler, literally) clothes, was wearing long sleeves and long pants for one whole day. Just when I stepped out of my house, Geoff called. He’s on the way, great. It’s car pool time. We (William, aka birthday boy; Geoff, Jason, me; GM leh gi mampos) ate at Teppanyaki. The Fuji Snow thing is awesome, the teppanyaki was so-so. Next on our itinerary – bowling. I started my first turn with a beautiful… … Longkang. (and it applied to a couple of turns after that) William completely thrashed all of us kao kao. Next, arcades – time for revenge. Played Ashita no Tobira (明日の扉)、Hikari e (ヒカリエ)、Taiko Samurai (太鼓侍)、Natsu no Matsuri (夏の祭り), and a couple of random songs I forgot, all in normal (ふつう) mode at Taiko no Tatsujin (太鼓の達人) 5 machine. Managed to get Tamashii (魂) in all of the songs, William couldn’t keep up with Taiko Samurai xD. Revenge was sweet. Sucked at Daytona. Went back at ~10PM. What a day. |
